Parmi celles-ci, l\u2019on peut citer Songloulou, la plus grande centrale du Cameroun, produisant 54% du mix \u00e9lectrique. Mise en service en 1981, cette centrale poss\u00e8de une capacit\u00e9 de 384 MW. A c\u00f4t\u00e9 de cette derni\u00e8re, l\u2019on retrouve la centrale d\u2019Ed\u00e9a qui est l\u2019une des plus anciennes au Cameroun. Mise en service en 1950, la centrale d\u2019Edea dispose d\u2019une capacit\u00e9 de 276 MW. La centrale hydro-\u00e9lectrique de Lagdo, fonctionnelle depuis 1986, poss\u00e8de une capacit\u00e9 de 72MW.<\/p>\n<p>Le gouvernement continue de se tourner vers le secteur hydro\u00e9lectrique pour fournir de nouvelles capacit\u00e9s de production indispensable au d\u00e9veloppement industriel.<\/p>\n<p>Le plus grand projet actuellement presque achev\u00e9 est celui de Nachtigal, situ\u00e9 \u00e0 environ 65 kilom\u00e8tres de Yaound\u00e9. La centrale sera pleinement op\u00e9rationnelle en 2024. Le fleuve La Sanaga a \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9riv\u00e9 afin de permettre l\u2019am\u00e9nagement hydro\u00e9lectrique de ce projet majeur. Il s\u2019agit du plus grand fleuve du Cameroun (918 km). Son d\u00e9bit est quatre fois plus important que celui de la Seine. Avec une puissance install\u00e9e de 420 MW, l\u2019am\u00e9nagement hydro\u00e9lectrique de Nachtigal produira, d\u00e8s sa mise en service en 2024, l\u2019\u00e9quivalent de 30% de la capacit\u00e9 de production d\u2019\u00e9nergie du pays. Le taux d\u2019avancement des travaux du chantier \u00e0 date est de 70% et l\u2019injection des premiers m\u00e9gawatts dans le R\u00e9seau interconnect\u00e9 Sud (RIS) est pr\u00e9vue d\u00e8s le mois de juillet 2023. Le prix de construction de 786 milliards de F CFA (1,2 milliard d\u2019euros) comprend le co\u00fbt des nouvelles lignes de transmission pour connecter le pays.<\/p>\n<p>Une fois termin\u00e9, le projet repr\u00e9sentera 30% de la capacit\u00e9 de production camerounaise et l\u2019\u00c9tat compte bien que la production \u00e0 faible co\u00fbt contribuera \u00e0 r\u00e9duire les tarifs de l\u2019\u00e9lectricit\u00e9. Situ\u00e9e dans le sud du Cameroun, l\u2019installation injecte 11,2 MW dans le r\u00e9seau \u00e9lectrique national. L\u2019\u00e9lectricit\u00e9 produite actuellement b\u00e9n\u00e9ficie aux populations des communes de Sangmelima et de Meyomessala dans la r\u00e9gion du Sud, ainsi que celles de Mbalmayo dans la r\u00e9gion du Centre.<\/p>\n<p>Le gouvernement camerounais envisage la construction d\u2019un barrage-r\u00e9servoir pour rehausser et stabiliser la production de la centrale de Memve\u2019ele sur le fleuve Ntem. Particuli\u00e8rement importante pour l\u2019alimentation de la r\u00e9gion sud du pays, cette derni\u00e8re affiche une baisse de performance pr\u00e9occupante. La cons\u00e9quence de cette baisse est l\u2019apparition d\u2019un d\u00e9ficit de 60 MW dans le R\u00e9seau interconnect\u00e9 sud (RIS). Cette puissance repr\u00e9sente environ 30% de la consommation d\u2019\u00e9lectricit\u00e9 de Yaound\u00e9, dont le pic de consommation est de 225 MW. L\u2019installation d\u2019un barrage-r\u00e9servoir ferait en sorte que la production ne baisse pas en p\u00e9riode de saison s\u00e8che comme ce fut le cas apr\u00e8s la CAN 2022. A la diff\u00e9rence des centrales hydro\u00e9lectriques de Songloulou et d\u2019Ed\u00e9a b\u00e9n\u00e9ficiant de l\u2019eau stock\u00e9e dans les barrages-r\u00e9servoirs du bassin de la Sanaga, celle de Memve\u2019ele ne dispose pas encore des m\u00eames capacit\u00e9s sur le fleuve Ntem.<\/p>\n<p>Le 14 avril 2022, la premi\u00e8re centrale hydro\u00e9lectrique priv\u00e9e de moins de 5MW a \u00e9t\u00e9 inaugur\u00e9e dans le village de Mbakaou, un projet soutenu par le Fonds fran\u00e7ais pour l\u2019Environnement mondial (FFEM). Celui-ci participe au d\u00e9verrouillage de la fili\u00e8re des petits producteurs ind\u00e9pendants d\u2019\u00e9lectricit\u00e9 (PIE) au Cameroun. Situ\u00e9e dans la r\u00e9gion de l\u2019Adamaoua, la centrale va permettre l\u2019approvisionnement en \u00e9lectricit\u00e9 d\u2019origine renouvelable de 40 000 habitants en zone rurale. Le projet ne s\u2019arr\u00eate pas l\u00e0, puisque ce mod\u00e8le de centrale hydro\u00e9lectrique a vocation \u00e0 \u00eatre r\u00e9pliqu\u00e9e par les d\u00e9veloppeurs camerounais.<\/p>\n<div>\n<div><b>L\u2019int\u00e9gration r\u00e9gionale dans le secteur de l\u2019\u00e9lectricit\u00e9<\/b><\/div>\n<div>Un accord de financement sur deux interconnexions du r\u00e9seau \u00e9lectrique pr\u00e9vues entre le Cameroun et le Tchad a \u00e9t\u00e9 sign\u00e9 en d\u00e9cembre 2021. Pour ce faire, la Banque mondiale d\u00e9caissera 306 millions $. Cet important projet a fait l\u2019objet d\u2019un accord de concession entre China Gezhouba Group Company et les gouvernements du Cameroun et du Congo-Brazzaville, en avril 2021. Le projet hydro\u00e9lectrique de Chollet de 700 millions $ sera construit sur le fleuve Dja, qui forme la fronti\u00e8re entre les deux pays et fournira de l\u2019\u00e9lectricit\u00e9 aux deux march\u00e9s. Une capacit\u00e9 de production de 600 MW devrait \u00eatre install\u00e9e d\u2019ici 2025.\u00a0<\/div>\n<div>Les deux lignes de 225 kV relieront Ngaound\u00e9r\u00e9 au Cameroun \u00e0 N\u2019Djamena au Tchad, ainsi que Maroua au Cameroun \u00e0 Bongor, Guelendeng et N\u2019Djamena au Tchad.
